My son chose this. He spent his Christmas money on this. He has played with this every day for a week. The quality of the toy is great. The size is adequate. I cannot comment on the battery life. My kids play with this all day. I love the fact that the little vehicles are mostly steel - they are not easy to break! The bigger truck is great too, and makes sounds.
